I like spas and salons. No... I love them. In fact, if I could own a business for fun, I 'd open one of each. But for now, I just like to patronize them... many of them. I'm not kidding. And I've also got my friends to join my adventures. I give out phone numbers for great hairstylists to anyone who'll listen.
Proving once again that Walker 2001 blows all other cohorts out of the water, the Walker clan organized a blues bar outing on Thursday night. Given that many of the first-year cohorts have already stopped organizing social events, the fact that a second-year cohort still gets together is nothing less than astonishing.
I have a number of apologies to make this week, not the least of which is for the number of e-mails I sent about the event at the MCA last Friday! Forgive me, but I had to get the word out. What I really need to apologize for, however, is my recommendation last week of one "Uncle Phil's Global Bar.
Setting out to find an Italian restaurant in Chicago was actually very fun. Being of Swiss Italian decent, I had grown up eating Northern Italian food. Remember that Italy as we know it today is only about 150 years old, so cuisines vary greatly over regions.
