A.T. Kearney's Managing Officer and Chairman of the Board, Paul Laudicina, held a fireside chat on Wednesday, October 18 at Hyde Park Centre. The discussion was moderated by Dean Edward A. Snyder and organized by Chicago GSB MBA Career Services. During the two hour informal chat, Paul Laudicina spoke about the changes taking place in the business environment driven by macroeconomic and political factors.
Following his receipt of Great Britain's most prestigious literary award, the Booker Prize, the author Kingsley Amis remarked: "I used to say that the Booker prize was a bit artificial. Now I feel it is a wonderful indication of literary merit." Whenever a news organization releases its rankings of business schools, the results inevitably end up in the email inboxes of the entire GSB community.
This past weekend, 32 GSB Students and one GSB professor participated in the Chicago Marathon. Their participation was part of the 2nd annual Marathon Charity Challenge against Kellogg and Ross (University of Michigan) business schools. The challenge combines the times of the top 3 male runners and top 2 female runners.
Dear classmates, Let me start off by thanking all the second year students who opened up their homes and hosted around 250 first year students for cold call parties. That is about half of the first year class, making this a record breaking event, and takes us a step closer to the much sought after first year - second year integration.
This year's 6th Annual Chicago Asia Pacific Conference took place this past Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the HPC. Due to the hard work of organizers Eric Lam, '07, Alex Wong, '07, Tommy Tjiptadjaja, '07, and Yuji Matsumoto, '07, the conference was a wonderful success.
